Don Swaim Interviews

Audio Interview with Susan Brownmiller

Susan Brownmiller, author of Feminity and Against Our Will, has a background as a journalist, and writes her novels in a very journalistic style. She feels that she writes better nonfiction than fiction, and her strengths lie in writing dialog while her weakness is descriptive writing. She is called a feminist writer and this title sometimes haunts her writing status. In this interview, Susan Brownmiller talks about the feminist movement, both past and present, and says she doesn't want an award for her writings, but only wants her work to be respected.
