Audio Interview with Robert Barnard |
|
Mystery writer Robert Barnard talks with Don Swaim about literature in this 1984 interview. Barnard begins to explain the formula for writing a successful mystery novel. One of his tricks is to create plenty of nasty, monstrous characters, so in the event of a character's death, the novel will not be devoid of interesting content. Barnard also claims a good novel will have a blend of irony and satire to keep the novel from becoming stale. Barnard's novels include At Death's Door, Death on the High C's, Blood Brotherhood, A Fatal Attachment and many more. Listen
