Bonnie Proudfoot was born in Queens, New York City. She received her MA in Creative Writing from Hollins College and her MA in English from West Virginia University and a BA in Art and English Education from Fairmont State College.

She was the Winner of 1994 Fellowship for the Arts from West Virginia and has published poetry and short fiction in literary magazines.

Bonnie is presently working on a PhD in Creative Writing at Ohio University, and is Co-Editor of Quarter After Eight, a journal of prose and commentary published at Ohio University.

For 20 years she has owned and operated a small stained glass studio, one that specializes in designing and building stained glass windows and lampshades.
