Jonathan Raban talks with Don during this 1985 interview about his friendship with the poet Robert Lowell, his opinion on the British culture, his love of sailing and why he became tired of writing travel narratives. They also discuss details of his book, Foreign Land. Raban is also the author of Coasting, Hunting Mr. Heartbreak, and Waxwings. He has won the National Book Critics Circle Award and the Heinemann Award for Literature, among others. Listen
