John SaylesFilmmaker John Sayles, author of Thinking in Pictures: The Making of the Movie Matewan, Sayles on Sayles and Gusanos, talks with Don Swaim in this 1991 interview about the movie industry. Sayles explains some idiosyncracies that are helpful to know, including the different creative problems involved in writing a book and writing a movie script. Also, he speaks about different writing styles and why he learned Spanish to write Gusanos.
