Don Swaim Interviews

Audio Interview with Henny Youngman

Henny Youngman

Henny Youngman had been doing comedy for nearly fifty years when he came to talk with Don Swaim in this 1983 interview. Youngman was known as the king of the one-liner and telling jokes was his way of doing some good in the world. As a comic he always refrained from vulgarities and enjoyed the innocence of a good clean joke. Youngman started his career as a fiddle player in a band, performing stand-up on the side. The stand-up soon became the big draw and Henny Youngman found himself a success.
