Audio Interview with Donald McCaig

Donald McCaig tells Don Swaim in this 1984 interview the story behind his canine characters in his book, Nop’s Trial. He also informs us of how he manages his time between farming and writing and what he likes to read. He has also written The Butte Polka and Nop’s Hope, the sequel to Nop’s Trial. McCaig has won numerous awards including the John Esten Cooke Award for the best Southern fiction and the Library of Virginia Award for best fiction.
