Audio Interview with David Payne |
| David Payne talks with Don Swaim in this 1984 interview about writing Payne's first novel, Confessions of a Taoist on Wall Street. The novel began as his college thesis and later blossomed into a full novel. Payne explains his style of writing and he describes two different views of the writing process as a whole. One is writing as a self grooming process and the other is writing as self exploration. He places himself in the latter category, explaining the different avenues or branches of though that led to his writing. David Payne is also the author of Ruin Creek, Gravesend Light, and Early From the Dance. Listen
