Don Swaim Interviews

Audio Interview with Christopher Buckley

Christopher Buckley, novelist, political humorist and the son of William Buckley, talks with Don during this 1986 interview about his newest novel, The Whitehouse Mess. He describes it as being a parody of a former president’s Whitehouse memoir, and explains some of the stories within it. He also tells us about his experiences in politics, what he does as an editor-at-large for Esquire, and his father’s reaction to his work. Buckley is also the author of Thank You for Smoking, Little Green Men and Florence of Arabia.
