Ambrose BierceAmbrose Bierce was a poet, a journalist and essayist, and a writer of short stories. Best known as the author of The Devil's Dictionary and An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge, Bierce went to Mexico at the age of seventy-one to fight with Pancho Villa and disappeared.
