Don Swaim Interviews

Audio Interview with Ariel Dorfman

Ariel Dorfman’s collection of poems entitled Last Waltz in Santiago and Other Poems of Exile and Disappearance portray the pain and suffering that he and others had to bear during their time spent in exile from his native land, Chile. He describes his poems as calm, quiet and political, and also talks about why he had to leave Chile. He has also written the book The Last Song of Manuel Sendero, and a play entitled Death and the Maiden.
