Don Swaim Interviews

Audio Interview with Allan Gurganus

Allan Gurganus, author of Oldest Living Confederate Widow Tells All, Plays Well with Others, and Good Help, maintains that he writes books that he enjoys reading himself. He also noted that he learned how to write while in the Navy where he read and studied an estimated 1,200 books. However, he might never have been published if it wasn't for another well-established author stepping in to help.
